Popular youtube Personalities

YouTube is the most popular streaming site in the world. You can upload videos, podcasts, leaves as many comments as you want and more. Unfortunately, YouTube has degraded rapidly over the years, with obnoxious commenters leaving hurtful comments and hurling insults at each other. Things has gotten worse and worse, with several YouTube personalities uploading videos not for entertainment, but to spew their own vile agendas and act all high and mighty. they are even people who will upload sickening videos of people getting murdered.

However, amidst all these hate videos and petty behavior, there are genuinely good videos, uploaded by good people. And I am here to list 4 of the best, in my opinion:

Gotham Rogues:

A recently new YouTube personality, Gotham Rogues uploads videos that focuses on the many villains in Batman’s rogues gallery, from Joker and Riddler to obscure villains like the Musketeer. He uploads top 5 lists of the best stories for a specific villain, reviews on the first appearances of the villains and shares his opinion on their movie adaptations.

I have really been enjoying his channel lately, especially his top 5 lists. He is very knowledgable on the batman villains, seeing the potential in the likes of Killer Croc and the Mad Hatter, who are often dismissed as jokes. If you are a Batman fan, or a comic book fan in general, I highly recommend his channel.

Here is one of his videos:

Super Eyepatch Wolf

If you are looking to watch anime, but don’t know which series to start with, Eyepatch may have the series for you.

Super Eyepatch Wolf uploads videos where he talks about certain anime titles and why people should be watching them, from their stories and characters, to their narratives structures and animation. He also uploads analysis videos where he talks about the impact a certain anime has had and how certain anime/manga have deteriorated over the years.

He doesn’t tell the audience to watch the anime he talks about, he is just sharing his own recommendations for anime he thinks are really great. He points out their pros and cons, never playing any favourites and always strives to be fair about his recommendations. I really enjoy his videos, they are very insightful and he gives valid and well thought out reasons as to why you should watch these shows, but doesn’t demand you should watch them. The choice is yours, he is just giving you recommendations.

I highly suggest you give him a look.

By far the most simple personality on YouTube, but very humble and honest. Deadpoolzilla uploads videos that range from a variety of genres, from reviews to reactions and fan-fiction ideas. I love hearing him talk about something he loves (or hate). His passion for things he loves, be they comic book shows or movies is infectious and hearing him share his opinions is loads of fun. He is not conceited or rude, but genuinely nice about his videos, and doesn’t hurl insults at people. He just loves sharing his honest opinion with people who will listen/watch. My favourite videos are his non comic line-ups, where he takes characters from films, anime, cartoons and games and put them on a well-known superhero team superhero team from the comics (Justice League, Suicide Squad and the Sons of Midnight). It is from watching these video that I became inspired to make my own non comic series, which I often post on my blog.

If you want to hear a nice bloke talk about the things he loves (or hate), I cannot recommend Deadpoolzilla enough.

Horror Comics

My favorite YouTube personality and the most intelligent bloke I have never met (in person anyway). Formerly known as Channel Badguy, Horror Comics (AKA MT Harman) specialises in villain stories, where he  narrates the stories of some of the most popular and iconic villains in comic books (lex Luthor, Joker, Brainiac, etc). He is extremely well-versed in comic book lore, though even he admits he doesn’t know anything, least until he has done the proper research.  He also uploads videos on the greatest moments and battles in comics. Recently, he has started a new series, Arkham files, where he narrates the most infamous and darkest stories featuring Batman and a member of his rogues gallery, though he made an exception with a Doom Patrol story where The Brian and his gorilla sidekick admitted their love for each other.

Last month, Harman announced that channel badguy was closing down. His reasons for doing so are private, and I won’t type them here, out of respect (that and the video has been removed). He just felt that it was time to move on, and I respect him greatly for that. It is his decision of he wants to continue, and if he wants to leave, so be it.

Fortunately, that was not the end of him. A few weeks later, Harman announced that he is working on another new series, called Bar with no Name. The first video hasn’t been uploaded yet, but in the meantime, he will continue his Arkham files videos, and even upload a fan-fiction story he has written and wanted to tell for some time now.

He is the kindest, smartest and most passionate man on YouTube, and I am glad he is staying for the foreseeable future. But, when he does decided to leave, I will not be upset. Like I said, it will be his choice, and I can always go back and watch his classic videos again.

I cannot recommend him enough. Soon as you can, look him up. You won’t regret it.

Note: I don’t own these videos. They are the properties of their respective owners. This is merely for entertainment.
